All instruments checked by hand

All Horizon instruments are made to the highest standard and undergo strict quality checks throughout the entire production process.
Once instruments are received from the production team, each one is individually checked by our in house quality department.
Each different type of plier has a tailored set of tests that it must pass before it is signed off and ready for sales.

German Surgical Stainless Steel

The Horizon instruments are made of German surgical stainless steel

It is a 410 alloy which ensures high strength, wear resistant and resistance to corrosion. The instruments have streamlined design and smooth contours which guaranty maximum comfort for the orthodontist and the patient.

Tips

Some of our pliers have inserted tips to assure enhanced strength and sharpness. They can be made of either:

Tungsten Carbide (TC) which is darker than stainless steel. The insert is preformed and soldered into the instrument.
Remanite which is an alloy of stainless steel but not as hard as tungsten carbide. The instruments with Remanite tips are either a preformed insert precision soldered into the instrument or a bar of remanite can be welded into the instrument which results in no visible line between the stainless steel instrument and the hardened tip.
